Hey Ladies,
Thursdays have become Girls Explore Night for myself and a friend of mine. My friend is a hair stylist and we've been trying to find interesting places for her to shoot for her flyers and business cards. We have made a vow to explore the city of Detroit and outskirts in hopes of finding nice food, poetry, comedy and more eclectic places around our city other than just the "club".
Before we settled in for Open Mic Night, we asked a few bicyclers if they had seen some graffiti any where. They let us know it was a ton of it along the
Dequindre Cut. We had never heard of this area and didn't even know it existed.
The Dequindre Cut Greenway, an urban recreational path, officially opened to the public in May of 2009. The 1.35-mile greenway, developed through a public, nonprofit and private partnership, offers a pedestrian link between the Riverfront, Eastern Market and many of the residential neighborhoods in between. source

Fave Pic! I just wish I would have had on heels!!!! |
So we ventured out to find the graffiti walls, and we were amazed at what we saw. It was a beautiful trail, a hidden trail that we'd discovered for the first time. It was so beautiful. I had to take photos there. I can't wait to go back and capture more of this art. As we didn't have time to walk the full path.
