In the Black is a service similar to groupon that will offer deals (via email, facebook and twitter) from local or online black-owned businesses in Detroit offering deals of up to 90% off a service or product. The best incentive of In The Black service is the community focus, each time a consumer purchases and In The Black deal 10% of the proceeds will benefit the local Black Chamber of Commerce. source (paraphrased)
The launch party was held in Downtown Detroit, great atmosphere catered food and music. We were even given bags filled with goodies from In The Black. I had a great time talking with the COO Marcus Burrell (pictured above) and learning more about this awesome service!
As you all know I'm always looking for a great deal! :) I can't wait, hehe!
I really had a nice time at the launch. After which Liz and I hurried outside in true fashion blogger form to snap some pics of our outfits. I'll share my outfit on Wednesday, so stay tuned!

Check out the flash mob video of dancers from MTV's America's Best Dance Crew from the Jazz Fest in Detroit last month. The flash mob was a great way to create a buzz about In The Black
