Review: China Glaze Magnetix
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to create nailart on your fingernails? Well, I just may have a great option for you. I'd never seen China Glaze Magnetix so when I was sent a kit from BigDaddyBeauty.com, I admit I was eager to try it out. Each magnet comes with three designs: stripe, chevron and star. I tried out all three.
Let's be honest, I rarely ever polish my fingernails or take the time to venture out and make designs because honestly I'm not that creative when it comes to polish and I don't have the time to experiment with it. So the thought of a magnetic polish and magnet plate that does the work for you was a definite win win.
Here's what I used:
China Glaze Magnetix polish You Move Me
China Glaze Mahogany Magic (regular polish)
China Glaze Magnetix Nail Lacquer Magnets
I liked the overall ease of using this product. I will admit it took me a few tries to get it right. One thing to note is a little polish goes a long way. When using the magnetix polish you will only need a very thin layer, if you use too much polish the magnet will not work properly and your design will be sketchy.
You want to make sure you place the magnet over your damp nail without touching for 5-10 seconds. Be sure not to touch the nail with the magnet, or you'll have to start over, remember to clean the magnet of any polish before trying again. It's very helpful if you polish and design one nail at a time. You also want to be sure to allow your nails to completely dry before you apply the top coat.
Pros:
Easy and fun to use.
The product works just as promised.
You only need to use a very small amount, so the product will last a long time.
Cons:
Must allow nails to dry completely before applying top coat. So, definitely allow yourself appropriate time for this.
Takes a few tries to get it right. Just remember to use a thin layer of product and you should be fine.
I would definitely recommend this product and I'd also use it again.
So have you tried China Glaze Magnetix? If not browse the collection here.
