When Bloggers Meet + Greet in Chicago
My blogger buddy Liz of Illustrious Jewerly by Liz, invited me to visit Chicago with her for the weekend and the trip was so much fun!
Our initial travel was for a wedding but we figured it would be great to meet up with a few bloggers from Chicago and I quickly thought of Sing and Piper.
We lucked up and had the opportunity to meet and greet with Chicago bloggers, Piper of Cheap and Chic in Chicago and Sing of Singature Style. It was really great meeting them both, as I've been a fan of their blogs for a while now.
Liz and I met up for brunch with Piper in Wicker Park at the Bongo Room, there was a 45 minute wait, but the food was well worth it. I had the croissant sandwich with bacon, egg and spinach, with the home fries. Yum! Doesn't it look delicious?
Me, Liz and Piper outside of Mojo Spa |
While waiting to be seated, we headed next door to Mojo Spa, a cute little spa that sells the cutest handcrafted soaps and candles that looked and smelled good enough to eat, I'll definitely share more of the cutesie shop in a later post. After brunch, we shopped the shops on Milwaukee and North Avenue, did a little sight seeing and ended for dessert at Piece Chicago. Thanks so much Piper for being such a great host!
If you follow me on Instagram you know we also road the Blue Line that day as well!

Liz, Sing and I |
On our last day in Chicago we met up with Sing for lunch at Grand Luxe Cafe, I loved the decor of the restaurant and wish I'd gotten a chance to snap shots. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to Sing, I can't wait to go back to Chicago, hopefully for Taste of Chicago 2013, hopefully I'll get to meetup with her again, she gave Liz and I some wonderful suggestions on things to do in Chicago, there just wasn't enough hours in the day...next time!!
Afterwards, Liz and I headed to Millennium Park to snap a few shots with the Bean, then headed for shopping on State, before heading to Union Station to return home! Definitely, a jam packed weekend full of fun!
You got a great photographers' eye & thank you for introducing me to Piper! We had a blast!
