My Style is Thrifted Chic: Fatshion Insider
This weeks feature for My Style Style is Thrifted Chic is Kellie B. of Fatshion Insider. Kellie has managed to thrift some pretty amazing pieces, get to know her as she shares and weighs in on thrifting.
What do you enjoy
most about thrifting?
I'm one of those people who actually loves the hunt. I enjoy
going through pieces to find that something special. Being able to find
something that's one of a kind is an incredible feeling.

What are two tips you
would give someone who's thrifting for the first time?
Tip 1: Always look
through everything. If you only search in the plus size section or within your
size, you will miss out on a bunch of great pieces. Tip 2: Dress for the
occasion. That means easy pieces that will allow you to try things on. Everyone
always tells you to ignore tags and sizes, which is true but being able to slip
a dress over your head etc. to check for fit helps take a lot of the guess work
out of shopping in places that may not have a dressing room etc.

Tell us about your
favorite thrifted find.
I don't know if I could pick only one but something that
stands out is this gorgeous near mint condition vintage camel colored leather
jacket with a cream colored rabbit collar. It was $25 and a total score.
Another is an amazing vintage oversized 80's trench coat that you can tell came
from an expensive department store. It has incredible leather details on the
back and through out. It was $8!
