Wardrobe Staple: The Little Black Dress

Can you guys believe that I had never owned a cute Little Black Dress before I purchased this one? I did thrift this one, but it is a bit on the heavy side. I'd been looking for the right LBD and I think this Lauren Conrad Pleated Ponte Dress from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls, is a great start to my building collection. I wanted a dress with a skater style skirt and pockets and this one definitely fit the bill. Initially, I wasn't sold on the exposed pleated neckline but I ordered it anyway online and I'm so glad I did. I only wish it was a tad bit longer. I really love the pleated skirt and pockets.

I wore this dress to a wedding while in Chicago and I felt really cute in it, I chose to keep my accessories light and I paired the dress with custom earrings from Illustrious Jewelry by Liz and I wore my Cookie Lee necklace as a bracelet.
