The Main Reason I Started Meal Prepping #mealprep
On the morning of my 31st birthday in January, I looked in the mirror and was shocked at what appeared to be a new stomach no lie! I honestly was disgusted and that day I decided I had to "do better". I made a promise to myself that I would start a healthier lifestyle and adjust my eating, activeness and overall health.
I tossed out all the unhealthy items in my kitchen, purchased some new workout clothes and was on my way. I started my workouts again and even purchased a few of Jillian Micheal's workout dvd's. I even purchased a Polar FT4 and it has helped me push myself and stay on track during workouts.
It wasn't long before I started to come across many Instagram accounts geared towards health and especially meal prep. I was intrigued. Naturally, I've always been a very picky eater and my disdain of fast food had increased to an all time high. It was time I started something new. So, I decided it was nothing to it, but to do it and I prepared my first week of meal preps.
Since then I've only purchased fresh food, healthy snacks and have been very successful in this clean eating change. I'm actually very proud of myself and I feel lighter on my feet. Meal preps has allowed me to plan and be fall to temptation less, I'm much more disciplined in my choices. For me, this just works.
Next week I'll answer a few of the FAQ's I've gotten so far on my Instagram (@StyleChic360). You can find My Top 5 Meal Prep FAQ's HERE.
Do you meal prep?
I've been meal preping since I decided to stop eating meat which is going on three years. Since I don't eat packaged foods it became necessary for me to plan everything so I didn't have to cook every single day. It gets boring at times but I don't live to eat anymore so I kinda got over that and if I want something I don't deny myself. I make sure I don't over indulge but if I want oreos I eat them!! Lol. Keep up the good work friend.
ReplyDeleteWe are so much alike I never ate to live, so I really think that's why this works so well for me. I agree if I want those Oreos I'm not depriving myself!
